Who to say yes to, and what you should get in return.
Help — influencers are taking over the world! Or at least it can feel that way when you are being bombarded with requests to stay at your property, be hosted in your city, or hand over yet another freebie.
So how do you decide who to invite, and what coverage will you actually get?
Mainstream media is struggling to hold its advertisers against the rise of social media and creators. Bloggers and influencers are here to stay, so this session helps you decide who to say yes to, how to get the most out of the experience, and what you can reasonably expect in return.
Who this session is for
Anyone who puts together blogger invitations and press trips, or who hosts bloggers and influencers in their restaurants, accommodations or tours. It is also for PR professionals who want to know how far they can push the limits on using creators — when to pay them, and how much.
What we cover
- How to choose the right blogger or influencer for your destination or brand
- The rise and rise of video content, and how to make a real impact with it
- What creators are looking for in order to make great content across their blog and social platforms
- The many ways to work with bloggers, including some novel opportunities worth leveraging
- What expectations you can — and should — have from an influencer trip
- How to leverage the content after the trip, and beyond
I greatly appreciated Megan’s presentation, as she brought a refreshing and direct voice to the table regarding how qualified writers view the travel services they receive. More importantly even, she reinforced the need of the industry to weed out some of the inquiries for free accommodation and meals through a more thorough look at writers’ credentials, reach, and qualifications.
